In her Apple sculptural series, she draws inspiration from the apple’s deep symbolic significance across both Western and Eastern cultures. Throughout mythology and literature, this iconic fruit has embodied themes of humanity’s bond with nature, the duality of good and evil, and the cyclical nature of life and death. By weaving these narratives into her work, Oishi conjures entire worlds—immersing the viewer in a realm of interconnectedness.
