This red oribe guinomi showcases a scrolling pattern of a kite across a glistening surface. Koyama Tomonori (b. 1953) executes a fine, ochre oribe glaze over this tea cup. Born in Nagano, Koyama studied under Takiguchi Kiheiji (b. 1937) for a number of years before establishing his own kiln in Togakushi, Nagano. He is inspired by Oribe and Momoyama-era glazes, and has exhibited in several group and individual exhibitions at Shibuya Kurodatoen.
