Inayoshi Osamu 稲吉 オサム b. 1976

Inayoshi Osamu is a Japanese potter born in 1976. He trained in Mino and Seto, where he took an interest in historical pottery techniques. Inayoshi is largely inspired by the pottery produced in Atsumi kilns (渥美窯 Atsumigama), which consisted of efficacious and secular functional wares, such as urns, sutra containers, small plates, roofing tiles for the temples in the area and more.

His work ethic and ability to articulate his expressions, influenced by history and modern culture, shines in his growing reputation as a well-regarded craftsman. He completed his ceramics training at the Seto Pottery School in 2002, and was awarded at the 56th Seto City Art Exhibition.
