1964                Graduated from Kyoto University of Arts

1967                Incentive Prize, Kyoto Prefectural Crafts & Arts Exhibition (won three grand prizes thereafter)

                        Third Prize, Kansai Comprehensive Art Exhibition (won first prize and others three times thereafter)

1969                Studied under Yaichi Kusube, a member of the Japan Art Academy
