Like father like son, Tsujimura Kai (b. 1976) was born into a prominent clay family. He has grown to be a competent potter himself, not an easy task under such a shadow of his father, who was a giant in the pottery industry: Tsujimura Shiro. Kai's Iga Guinomi has iconic Iga clay color. His treatment of surface is thoughtful and sensitive.
